James Morrow is currently a Meteorological Intern at the National Weather Service Office in Blacksburg, VA.   James is also working on his Master’s Degree in Virginia Tech’s Geography Department within the College of Natural Resources and Environment. James graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Meteorology, B.A. in Geography (Geospatial and Environmental Analysis Option) and a minor in Geosciences in May 2014. 


My main interests lie within the field of Meteorology, more specifically the forecasting and study of severe weather. I served as Chief Meteorologist at WUVT 90.7 FM Blacksburg and was the founder and lead weather correspondent for The Collegiate Times newspaper, and the Hokie Weather Watch organization. I formerly served as a Geospatial Consultant for the NASA DEVELOP National Program. I have had the unique opportunity of student volunteering and interning at the National Weather Service Office in Blacksburg, VA. and with WDBJ-7 Roanoke under the direction of Chief Meteorologist Robin Reed.
